Print Keyes Packaging Group, Inc. announced this morning that it has acquired certain assets from EnviroPak Corporation ("EnviroPak") that comprise EnviroPak's molded fibre wine shipper tray product line. The acquired assets include EnviroPak's entire customer list for molded fibre wine shippers, tooling that is used to manufacture wine shippers, all tray designs and prototypes and certain other assets. The purchase price for the transaction was not disclosed.
Ted Smith, President of Keyes Packaging Group said "We are very excited to acquire EnviroPak's molded fibre wine shipper tray product line. We see excellent growth potential for these products as direct shipment of wine to individuals increases, and wine consumers continue to show a strong desire for environmentally-friendly packaging. This product line, in conjunction with our current case-pack offerings, gives our company the most extensive product list in the wine market."
EnviroPak will continue to produce the packaging products for a period of 12 months to alleviate production pressure on Keyes' Wenatchee facility.
