Keyes Packaging Group, Inc. announced this morning that it has acquired certain assets from Pactiv Corporation ("Pactiv") that comprise Pactiv's molded fibre apple tray and avocado tray product lines. The acquired assets include the Fruitmaster® tradename, all of Pactiv's inventory of molded fibre apple trays and avocado trays, molded fibre tooling that is used to manufacture apple and avocado trays, all apple tray denesters and certain other assets. Pactiv has assigned all of its contracts with the fruit packers and certain distributor and other contracts to Keyes as part of the transaction. The purchase price for the transaction was not disclosed.
